Upgrading Dandenong Station
The modern Dandenong station will provide safe, accessible and sustainable transport options to meet the growing needs of our community.
An accessible, safe and efficient Dandenong Station can adapt to changing conditions while integrating a transit-oriented development over the South East rail corridor.
Completing the Djerring Trail will create a strategic cycling corridor into Dandenong CBD, improving transport links, filling bus service gaps and connecting workers to jobs.
How you can help us:
- Council is advocating for $400 million in federal funding to complete the project.
- $8 million for the Construction of the Djerring Trail cycling corridor.
- $1 million to conduct a feasibility study for a new railway station between Dandenong and Lynbrook.
- $300,000 to undertake a bus review to for Melbourne’s South East.

Development of a Greater Dandenong Employment Hub
Greater Dandenong’s high demand for labor and significant unemployment rates create a mismatch that must be addressed to enable the community to access economic benefits, engage in social life and develop skills.
The Dandenong Employment Hub will provide community members with a better way to find the right support, with people in “connector” roles to empower, navigate and link stakeholders in the system.
How you can help us:
- $1.5 million for the development of a Dandenong Employment Hub with both physical and digital accessibility.
- $400,000 annually for five years to continue the GameChange - Employment System-Change Initiative.

Selective Entry High School in Dandenong
Strengthening Dandenong’s education infrastructure, particularly in the city center, will create opportunities for students, drive social mobility, and attract investment to address the area’s socio-economic challenges.
A Select Entry High School in Central Dandenong will boost the local economy, attract students and businesses, and foster language education to enhance workforce participation and community growth, while driving revitalization in the area.

$60 million for the design and construction of a Selective Entry High School in Central Dandenong.
