What do you do if you are concerned about a child or young person’s safety
The safety of children and young people is everyone’s responsibility.
If a child's or young person is in immediate risk of danger or harm, call the Police on 000 (triple zero).
For any other child safety concerns, contact Child Protection on 1300 555 526 or 13 12 78 after hours.
Concerns about conduct at Greater Dandenong City Council
If you have concerns about conduct involving a child or young person, by a Greater Dandenong City Council employee, volunteer, contractor or anyone working in a Council facility or on behalf of the Council, please contact Council by:
- Send email to childsafety@cgd.vic.gov.au, or
- Telephone Customer Service (03) 8571 1000 and ask to speak to the Child Safety Compliance Officer
If you speak a language other than English, you can contact the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS). Telephone 13 14 50 and ask to be put through to telephone number 8571 1000.
You can also report your concerns about the conduct of any workforce member to the Commission for Children and Young People by:
