Christmas Decorations
To support retail activity and visitation to the City of Greater Dandenong over the Christmas and New Year period, Council delivers a program of Christmas decorations in Dandenong, Noble Park and Springvale. A much loved feature is the large-scale decorations installed in each activity centre.
The large decorations are complemented with smaller ones, including Christmas themed tree and pole surrounds, decorations on public seating, metal Christmas trees in Springvale and “pole and dove” stands in Noble Park.
In Dandenong, a festive mural will be placed on the steps leading from Lonsdale Street to Harmony Square, and Dandenong Library’s display windows will showcase a life-size Nativity Scene and Christmas themed installation.
The large-scale decorations will be installed over 21-23 November, and the rest of decorations a few days later. There will also be roving performers in the weeks leading up to Christmas – always a hit with shoppers and children alike.
Look out for the Giants of Christmas
