Batteries, gas bottles and other hazardous waste items can cause fires and must never be placed in your household bins.
The flammable items can cause fires in our waste trucks, posing significant health and safety risks to your property, and the people who empty your bins and process your waste and recycling.
Council would like to remind residents not to dispose of these items in any bins:
- Household chemicals
- Batteries, including car batteries
- Gas bottles.
