Building More than Just a Hub (Council News February 2025)

At the Keysborough South Community Hub construction site, we’re building much more than a new structure. We’re creating a space for community connection and bringing our valued services to life.

Local families are at the centre of our plans, with the new facility to offer quality family services including maternal and child health, parenting programs and supported playgroups. The Hub will also be a truly special place for children’s early years learning with kinder and childcare on offer.

There’s even more to love about Keysborough South. You said you wanted the new Hub to have an innovative and environmentally sustainable design. With 260 solar panels, 60,000 litres of above ground rainwater storage and 100,000 litres of underground stormwater storage, the Hub is on track to be a five-star Green Star sustainable facility.

The Hub will be fully accessible and include a library space, bookable meeting rooms, a creative area and fantastic kitchen. Outside we’re creating a beautifully landscaped, relaxing and peaceful space for everyone, including fun play and learning zones for children.

The Keysborough South Community Hub is on track for completion in the second half of 2025.
