Building the Keysborough South Community Hub is all part of putting local families at the centre. Looking through the Hub’s beautiful round windows today it’s easy to imagine the quality children’s services it will deliver, including maternal and child health, parenting programs and supported playgroups.
Both indoors and out, the new Hub will be a truly special place for children’s early years including kindergarten and childcare.
Right from its inception and the earliest consultation about what the Hub should deliver, priority has been given to meeting the needs of the littlest members of our community. The Hub will include child friendly spaces and programs in a family friendly environment.
The Hub’s location responds to the significant housing development and population growth in the Keysborough area over recent years contributing to more demand for community connection and services for all ages.
Among the Hub’s design principles is prioritising education and information and including facilities that support life-long learning. We know life-long learning starts in infancy, so special attention is being given to the kindergarten and childcare rooms and outdoor play spaces and areas to learn and explore.
