The Nullawil Street Neighbourhood Shopping Centre adjacent to Police Road has undergone streetscape improvements and has been well-received by visitors and traders in the area.
Council has planted street trees along the footpath to increase shade cover and installed a new garden bed with trees and groundcover plantings.
The widening of a section of the footpath has also allowed for new bench seats to be installed, giving visitors the chance to sit down and enjoy the surrounds. I hope to see our local community continuing to support the small businesses in this area.
I thank everyone for their patience during the process and look forward to seeing the trees flourish over time.
Patience has become a common theme among many projects, as we are still feeling the impact of the pandemic, which is continuing to cause delays in deliveries and the supply chain. Supplies for the new local Turner Reserve playground are on their way, and construction will begin later in the year.
