Earth Day, celebrated annually on 22 April serves as a reminder of our responsibility to protect and preserve the planet we call home. In 2024, as we mark the 54th anniversary of this global event, it's a moment for us all to reflect on the progress made in environmental conservation efforts locally here in Greater Dandenong and across the globe. In our city, our Parks, Waste and Sustainability teams work tirelessly with the community to protect our environment and build a more sustainable and vibrant Greater Dandenong for generations to come.
Community members are invited to attend our environmental events to be a part of the conservation and rejuvenation of our local biodiversity and our Gardens for Wildlife program is a great way to encourage wildlife into your local area.
Monthly sustainability focused events such as the Springvale Hub Clothes Swap and Urban Harvest encourage residents to reduce their waste, reuse and recycle.
This Earth Day, we celebrate all the environmental action taken to shape a healthier, greener, and more resilient planet.
