Every year attendance for the Dandenong Career and Support Expo has nearly doubled. The committee makes improvements based on our learnings. Every year the event is an improved curated experience that is fuelled by learning and driven by a desire for a great customer experience.

Tried and Tested GameChange Principles of Success:

Led by Community – Each year is made better because of the committee made up by sector leaders, community organisations, service providers, and jobseekers. They guide the event and provide insight.

Enabled by Trust and Relationships - This year saw the largest turn out of community members – most who found out either directly from GameChange or through word of mouth.

Enriched by Diversity – The diverse stalls represent the diverse needs of the community coming to this event and are curated to have a breadth of services for anyone coming through the door.

Fuelled By Learning - Every year we learn and implement something a little differently than the last. This year we:

  • Pre-Event Networking:  In 2024 the Networking component was well received – but we wanted to improve it. Providing an opportunity for stall holders to connect before the event allowed a sense of cohesion and familiarity throughout the event.
  • Career Advice on the Day: The wonderful Small Business Launch Pad was providing ad-hoc support on the day – coaching over 80 people on the day.
  • Interviewing: Interview rooms were offered to employers in attendance to conduct on the spot interviews with 19 community members interview on the day.

Collaboration - Drawing from various sectors with unique strengths and experiences, the expo ensured comprehensive planning and excellent execution. This collaborative approach allowed all the puzzle pieces to come together seamlessly.
