Make Your Own Kitchen Caddy Liner

There are many alternatives to bags when lining your kitchen caddy. By using bag alternatives, you are contributing to the production of high-quality compost. This is then used by Victorian farmers to grow fresh fruit and vegetables.

Instead of using a bag, line the kitchen caddy with a few sheets of paper towel. Alternatively, make your own kitchen caddy liner from a sheet of newspaper using the simple instructions in the image below.

If you want more of a challenge you can try this one.

Using a DIY liner will help keep your kitchen caddy clean and make it easier to transfer food scraps to your Food and Garden organics bin. This method avoids the use of plastic bags or other materials that could contaminate the compost.

And don’t worry, the newspaper will break down quickly, so it won’t affect the quality of the compost.
