Mayoral Statement - Council's Future Role in Aged and Disability Services

The Commonwealth Government has introduced a new way to deliver and access aged and disability services and the Victorian State Government is also reviewing the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP).

As part of these changes, Council needs to undertake extensive community consultation to understand what programs and services it should deliver in the future.

Council has undertaken a series of in-person community pop-up sessions and is also seeking community feedback via completion of an online or hard copy survey to help Council decide what role it will play in the delivery of these services in the future.

This is an important project and Council would like your feedback.

Have Your Say

Through extensive community consultation we will be able to understand what future aged care and disability services may best meet our unique culturally diverse community’s needs.

To our existing clients, please be assured Council is not taking any action to alter our services prior to 30 June 2024, nor without a Council resolution.

The outcome of this process will help inform Council’s future role in delivering aged care and disability services in response to identified community need, with the aim to keep our older residents safe, healthy and connected.
