We are deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of The Hon. Simon Crean.
Mr Crean was a strong advocate for the Greater Dandenong community and entire south east region, having served on the Board of Greater South East Melbourne (GSEM), a group which advocates for jobs, infrastructure, investment and wellbeing for the south east.
He served as Hotham’s MP for 23 years before his retirement and his tireless service has had a lasting impact on our community.
Simon served honouring our culturally diverse community and championing opportunities for people to thrive and prosper in their personal and professional lives.
Our deepest condolences to Simon’s wife Carole, his daughters Sarah and Emma and his extended family.
