Melbourne Writers Festival

Dandenong Library

Greater Dandenong Libraries will once again bring readers and writers together as part of the Melbourne Writers Festival.

We are proud to be partnering with the Festival in 2022 to bring two free author talks to Greater Dandenong.

Akuch Kuol Anyieth is a graduate researcher in crime, justice and legal studies, and is a first-time author. Her memoir Unknown covers her journey from civil war in South Sudan to a new life in Australia. She unpacks the trajectory of her life, a story full of sadness, anger, humour, determination, survival and love in conversation with Nana Owusu.

On Thursday 8 September, 7.30pm-9pm, at Dandenong Library, 225 Lonsdale St, Dandenong.

Else Fitzgerald will talk about her short story collection Everything Feels Like the End of the World. Join Fitzgerald, in conversation with Kate Mildenhall, as she explores possible futures, from an Australia not so different from our present day to one thousands of years into an unrecognisable future.

On Sunday 11 September, 3pm-4.30pm, at Springvale Library, 5 Hillcrest Grove, Springvale.
