Purchase of Land by Greater Dandenong City Council
Section 112(3) of the Local Government Act 2020 came into force on 1 July 2021 and states that any purchase or compulsory acquisition of land by a Council must be taken in accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy.
As such, this Public Notice serves to inform the Greater Dandenong community of the purchases of land that Greater Dandenong City Council has made since 1 July 2021 as follows:
- 49 View Road, Springvale
Purchased on 19 January 2022 for $1.40M for open space purposes - 61-63 Heyington Crescent, Noble Park North
Purchased on 23 January 2022 for $2.45M for open space purposes - 10 Market Street, Dandenong
Purchased on 3 February 2022 for $910,000 for philanthropic purposes in conjunction with WAYSS - 2 Stuart Street, Dandenong
Purchased on 30 June 2022 for $1.35M for strategic purposes
