Springvale Snow Fest is a popular winter carnival and multicultural food festival hosted by Greater Dandenong City Council.

The event returns to the streets of Springvale on Sunday 30 July and this year features real snow from Mt Buller in a free snow play area, an artificial ice-skating rink, roving performers, family carnival rides, cultural food and market stalls, free family activities and workshops including arts and crafts, face stamping and airbrush tattoos, and a fireworks finale at 6.50pm.

Live performances from snow princesses and snow angels, Hong De Lion Dance and Extravaganza Roving Entertainment, and many more will feature across two stages, including the FReeZA Youth Stage.

There will also be snow-themed activities by Festive Tribe for children and families. Food trucks and stalls will showcase cuisines from around the world, including from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Greece and Spain.

A major prize of a holiday for a family of four to Mt Buller will be on offer at the event. All you need to do is complete a simple survey to enter the draw. The winner will be announced prior to the fireworks finale.

Council is committed to reducing single use plastics so please bring your own water bottle to fill up at the free hydration station.

Springvale Snow Fest is always well attended by thousands of people so plan ahead and consider travelling by public transport, Springvale Railway Station is just a two-minute walk to the event precinct.

If you are coming from Melbourne it is only 30 minutes on the train from Flinders Street Station on the Cranbourne/Pakenham line.

If you prefer to take the bus, the following routes will take you to Springvale Railway Station: 811, 811-812, 813 and 902.

If you are driving the multi-deck car park off Balmoral Avenue has lots of parking, however it does fill up quickly. Alternatively, there is car parking available at the Springvale Community Hub.

Council thanks its major sponsor Mt Buller and events sponsors the Victorian Government, FReeZA, Westpac, Coldflow, Bank of Melbourne and the Springvale Shopping Centre.
