Supporting Women in Business

Women in Business

Council’s South East Business Networks (SEBN) is the premier networking facility for Greater Dandenong and the South East region. SEBN has been supporting women in business for over two decades and whilst the opportunities for women in business are diverse, so are the challenges and demand for support.

Offering a range of activities, SEBN provides an environment that encourages the sharing of knowledge and expertise and promotes and supports the professional and personal development of women across all levels.

In addition to their Showcasing Women in Business events, the SEBN Women in Business (WIB) network group meets regularly to explore a diverse range of topics – from small business issues to the corporate environment. This group supports all women in the workplace and encourages a mentoring approach to each other – as well as to those experiencing disadvantage and the young women in our community.

The exciting new program and calendar of events is set to launch next week with a Showcasing Women in Business breakfast featuring Dr. Louise Mahler to be held on Friday 6 August. The new program of activities is designed to enhance knowledge and capability including leadership, organisational skills and encourage collaborative approaches to common issues and challenges

The 2021-2022 program introduces four specific themes - Time to Share (Connection), In the Loop (Communication), Go for Gold (Confidence) and Out of the Box (Creativity). Participants will be exposed to business trends and hear from leading voices throughout the program.
