The aim of the master plan is to improve and maximise the potential of Frederick Wachter Reserve, Keysborough to support the development and provision of sporting, recreational and community facilities and festivals and events. Environmental benefits are integrated into the master plan to support the wetland and biodiversity opportunities for the park. Increasing the tree canopy coverage across the park is an important priority.
The development of the park will be guided by the master plan’s implementation strategy, which identifies short, medium and long term projects. The funding to implement the projects is subject to the support and funding of capital works bids as part of Council’s annual budget process.
