GameChange takes pride in ensuring that key principles will underpin the work. It’s a community-led initiative, with activities across all sectors and with a range of stakeholders from the jobs and skills system.
The principles are:
Led By Community
- Goals of the future jobs and skills system are determined by the Greater Dandenong Community.
- The Change process is owned and embedded within the jobs and skills system to ensure it creates sustainable and lasting impact.
- Those most impacted are part of the process of change as decision-makers, producers of change, advisors and beneficiaries.
Enabled by Trust and Relationships
- Our way of working builds trust and strengthens relationships in every interaction and opportunity.
- We invest in people being seen and heard.
- We show care, respect and dignity to people and organisations.
- We design and hold processes that build shared understanding and language between all stakeholders and sectors in the jobs and skills system.
Collaborative
- We support people and organisation to actively connect, align and collaborate.
- We enable collaborative governance across the system and support shared decision-making.
- We design the process of change with diverse sectors of people including job seekers.
- We support people and organisations to act together and to work on things that no individual, organisation or sector alone can change.
- We support people and organisations to work together in new ways, to focus on action to create a better system, to take a “test and try” approach and to use data to do more of what works and stop what isn’t working.
Fuelled by Learning
- We believe that learning is the lifeblood of systems change work.
- We invest in evidence, data gathering and engaging learning processes.
- We use evidence and data when making shared decisions, taking collaborative action and tracking progress and impact.
- We support people and organisations to learn together and share learnings freely.
- We make impact visible, so it can be celebrated.
