The Gender Equity Action Plan (GEAP) marks an important milestone in our continuing progress towards equality of opportunity and respect among people of all genders at Council, and in the creation of a safe, inclusive and productive workplace for our employees in line with our REACH characteristics, namely: Respectful, Engaged, Accountable, Creative and Honest.
The GEAP complements, enhances and extends existing aspects of Council’s work to advance gender equality and address family violence.
This work is led and supported by former CEO, John Bennie, the Executive Management Team and the Councillors and is strengthened by Council’s broad reach among all segments of the community.
