What awaits you on this remarkable tour

Stop 1 - Walker Street Gallery and Arts Centre

Walker Street Gallery and Arts Centre is the City of Greater Dandenong's home of the arts. From dynamic community led initiatives to large scale installations, Greater Dandenong offers a host of artistic experiences, across a range of artforms, for residents and visitors alike.

The current exhibition, HOME 24 – Olana Janfa: Too Much Drama, is a site-responsive project by Ethiopian-Norwegian artist Olana Janfa. Combining bold images and political statements with lightness, dry humour and vivid colours and tones.

Olana Janfa: Too Much Drama is the 2024 iteration of HOME, City of Greater Dandenong’s longstanding program of exhibitions featuring artists with a refugee and asylum seeker background.

Stop 2 - ACMI

At Beings, a projection larger than life, experience Universal Everything’s parade of fantastical creatures morph in real-time, responding in unique ways with each interaction. The more you move, the more animated they become.

Made of digital fur, lava, bubbles, vapour and more, these wiggly, jiggly beings are powered by game engines, VFX software and ever-evolving algorithms. No two visits to this exhibition are the same.

An ACMI-curated world premiere, including four new works, Beings is Universal Everything’s largest international exhibition to date.
