As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God! - Psalm 42:1
This month Mandy Lun will present her book 'Thirsty Deer', a Christian self-help book and guide for teen girls on how to love God with all your body, soul, strength and mind.
It’s a practical guide to life for teen girls with a central theme of loving God and loving others (including yourself). It covers physical, mental and spiritual health and also looks at some teen life issues. Biblical truths are presented alongside personal stories that apply to teen life in an easy to read, beautifully presented, full-colour book.
Mandy has raised two teen girls who are now young adults. She was also a teenager herself (although it was quite a long time ago). As a teen she struggled with self-image and developed an eating disorder.
Mandy is passionate about helping teen girls to live full happy lives and to enjoy good physical, mental, and spiritual health. She created the Teen Toolkit blog for girls in 2015 and the Thirsty Deer blog in 2016. She is a graduate of the Shine from Within Youth Mentor Academy and mentors a group of young adults at her local church. Most of all she is passionate about Jesus.
Her first book, Thirsty Deer, presents Biblical truths alongside personal stories that apply to teen life in an easy to read book that you’ll be coming back to again and again. The conversational tone of the book and the attractive colour layout make it a great gift idea.
