BreastScreen Victoria Van in Dandenong

BreastScreen Victoria Van

BreastScreen Victoria’s pink breast screening van will be back in Dandenong from 18 – 28 October 2022. The van will provide free breast screens (mammograms) to the Greater Dandenong community.

Women aged 50-74 should have a breast screen every two years. Breast screens are the best way to find breast cancer early—before changes can be seen or felt.

The van last visited Dandenong Palm Plaza in 2020; those who screened during the last visit will be due to screen again.

All breast screens are free, take 10 minutes and are done by a female radiographer. No doctor’s referral or Medicare card is required.

The van will operate with COVID-19 safety measures in place to protect staff and the community. All clients who screen on the van in Dandenong must wear a face mask unless they are exempt. More information about screening during COVID-19 can be found on the BreastScreen Victoria website.

The van will be located at Dandenong Palm Plaza – 23-55 McCrae Street, Dandenong.

Free language support is available. Women can request an interpreter for their breast screen when they book.

To book a screen on the Dandenong van, go to breastscreen.org.au or call 13 20 50.

If you require additional assistance to participate, please get in contact with us.
