Springvale’s popular Lunar New Year Festival will welcome the Year of the Snake on Sunday 26 January.
The popular annual festival is organised by the Springvale Asian Business Association Inc (SABA) and proudly supported by Council and the Victorian Government. The event attracts visitors from all over Melbourne to celebrate Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Snake.
The event will see the closure of Buckingham Avenue and surrounding streets to traffic, with amusement rides, food stalls, lion and dragon dancing, fireworks (at 9.45pm) and live entertainment taking over the space from 10am to 10pm.
It is a family event and free for everyone with packs of activities throughout the day.
