Monday 13 February is the anniversary of the iconic Apology speech of then-Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, apologising to the Stolen Generations on behalf of the Australian Government.

Join us in Harmony Square and at Springvale Community Hub at 10am on Monday 13 February to watch the apology together.

It was a very emotional and significant day for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, all of which in some way directly or indirectly have been impacted by past policies.

The day provides us with the opportunity to take a moment to reflect on The National Apology and what this means to you. Take time to reflect on how and why we do the things that we do and how we contribute to saying Sorry, in our everyday life. Also, reflect on how do we personally support the healing and trauma of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, in walking in Reconciliation, in closing the gap, and growing a future generation of truth tellers.
