Thursday 20 March marked the beginning of Nowruz, the Persian New Year. Nowruz is a time to celebrate fresh beginnings, reconnect with loved ones, and honor traditions that have been passed down through generations.
To celebrate, the Victorian Afghan Associations Network are hosting a Nowruz Festival in Dandenong Park next Sunday 6 April from 12pm.
The day will be filled with live music, dance, food and market stalls.
