"WE" - Women's Empowerment Workshops

94
Women in workshops.

Women's Empowerment (WE) workshops have been developed for disadvantaged women in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in Dandenong.

All women are welcome, we have no barriers.

The workshops are designed to enhance social cohesion and self-advocacy in a fun and supportive environment.

Workshops will be focused on topics around personal wellbeing such as fitness, nutrition, finance, mindfulness, and creative art.

Sensitive topics such as mental illness and family abuse will also be covered in a culturally-appropriate way by trained facilitators.

We aim to help you feel more empower by creating greater awareness and understanding of available resources and support services available within your local area and support referrals to services you may like additional support.

We aim to help you feel less social isolation by fostering a safe environment where new connections can flourish through shared experiences. The workshops seek to empower participants with the confidence to self-advocate and share their learnings with their families and communities for broader benefit.

If there are 17 participants or more from a culturally specific background that require an Interpreter to be able to attend, we can arrange a session throughout the year for the group.
