The amendment applies to land at 209 Chapel Road, Keysborough. The subject site was designated as a Proposed Primary School Site, however this notation was no longer required by the Department of Education and Training.
The Amendment deleted the notation 'Proposed Primary School Site' from Map 1 - Outline Development Plan of Schedule 5 to the Development Plan Overlay to enable the use of the General Residential Zone 2 in a manner that achieves the objectives of the zone.
The removal of the notation from the Outline Development Plan of Schedule 5 will enable the subdivision of the site for residential purposes, which is in accordance with the intent of the original amendment which zoned the area. The subject site is well situated to a proposed activity centre and bus routes on Hutton Road.
Amendment C194 (Part 1) was approved by the Minister for Planning on 18 December 2017 and gazetted on 25 January 2018.
