Keneally Street Reserve - New Dog Off-Leash Area

Dog off-leash area entrance

Council has developed a new dog off-leash area at Keneally Street Reserve, Dandenong.

Council’s Greater Dandenong Dog Off-Leash Strategy 2019 identified that this area of Dandenong did not have an off-leash area for the community to exercise their dogs. The new dog off-leash area at Keneally Street Reserve improves accessibility for residents and provides a great opportunity for dogs (and their owners) to get regular exercise and socialisation.

Activating this under-utilised part of the reserve along the Dandenong Creek with an off-leash area plays an important role in making the area feel more accessible, as there will be more people out and about walking and exercising their dogs.

The dog off-leash area includes:

  • a fence and gate at the Steven St entrance
  • fencing to the perimeter of the dog off-leash area
  • off-leash dog park rules signage
  • picnic table and park seat
  • drinking fountain with dog bowl
  • new trees.
