Parks and Reserves

The City of Greater Dandenong has district, neighbourhood and local parks and reserves. Each park type reflects the different size and location of the parks. It also reflects how they cater to the needs of the community. Many of these parks also have playgrounds. 

Bushland reserves

Greater Dandenong has many bushland reserves, showcasing the beautiful range of indigenous plants and animals that can be found in this part of Victoria. They also showcase the various plant community that were once widespread but are now quite rare due to clearing and development. 

Residents are encouraged to visit the wetland, eucalyptus open woodland or a native grassland and explore these spaces or experience the calming effect nature can bring to out lives when we immerse ourselves in it.

Bushland reserves include areas of indigenous plants and animals. Bushland reserves place a high priority on conservation. They also give residents and visitors the chance to enjoy them, and they improve the amenity of the area.
