The ‘Greater Dandenong. My Place. My Community’ art mural has been created as part of a youth project led by he Greater Dandenong City Council, in collaboration with young people, community and artists Mike Makatron, Karena Bravo, Bryan Itch and Sebastian Fransz.
The themes highlighted in the mural were guided by young people who participated in a series of art workshops. These themes explore young people’s connection to the community, highlighting Greater Dandenong as a place of diversity, social connection, food, sport and nature.
The artists have captured these themes to create this colourful mural reflecting the vibrant and rich community that is, Greater Dandenong.
