The Amendment rezones the former Athol Road Primary School at 30-40 Athol Road, Noble Park from Public Use Zone 2 - Education (PUZ2) to the General Residential Zone 1 (GRZ1), applies the Development Plan Overlay - Schedule 17, and amends Clause 72.01 to the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme to make the Minister for Planning the responsible authority for the land.
The amendment applies to land at 30-40 Athol Road, Noble Park.
This site was determined surplus to the Victorian Government’s current and future requirements and has been declared an Inclusionary Housing Pilot site.
The Minister for Planning requested the Government Land Standing Advisory Committee to assess the suitability of Amendment C240gdan to the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme. This request was made on behalf of MET Communities Pty Ltd (METC).
Current status
Amendment C240gdan was approved by the Minister for Planning and gazetted on 11 January 2024.
