Planning Scheme Amendment C244gdan

Greater Dandenong City Council prepared Amendment C244gdan to the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme.

The Amendment request was made by Calardu Springvale Pty Ltd.

Greater Dandenong City Council is the planning authority for the Amendment.

The Amendment applies to the land known as 917 Princes Highway, Springvale formally referred to as Lot 1 on PS625000 and Lot 2 on PS625000.  The site is known as the Springvale Homemaker Centre (SHC).

The Amendment makes changes to the ‘Harvey Norman/Ikea Development’, 917 Princes Highway, Springvale, August 2009’ incorporated document.

The amendment only amends the type of uses permitted within the SHC.

The following changes have been made to the ‘Harvey Norman/Ikea Development’, 917 Princes Highway, Springvale, August 2009’ incorporated document:

  • Amend Clause 6 to include:
    • (c) a shop must not include a Supermarket that exceeds 500 sqm in floor area.
  • Delete Clause 7.

A planning scheme amendment was required to make this change. As such the amendment made the following changes to the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme:

  • Amend Clause 72.04 by inserting a new schedule to reflect the change proposed to the incorporated document for the site.

Current status

Amendment C244gdan was approved by the Minister for Planning and gazetted on 12 December 2024.
