Join us at Springvale Community Hub in celebrating Refugee Week (15-21 June) at this family friendly event on Sunday 15 June.
As a Refugee Welcome Zone, Greater Dandenong City Council invites you to support Refugee Week 2025 which celebrates positive contributions made by refugees to society.
The theme for Refugee Week 2025 is "Finding Freedom: Diversity in Community".
We encourage all those taking part to explore what it means to be free: to live without the fear of war, to have basic human rights upheld, to live in equality and without the fear of persecution.
This is an event for people of all ages, there will be something for everyone to enjoy including:
- Welcoming ceremony
- Live performances
- Cultural experiences
- Family-friendly activities
- Community organisation stalls
A key aim of the event is to show support to refugee communities in Greater Dandenong and engage and connect with the breadth of Council and community services on offer in the local neighbourhood.
