Please note that we do not use our social media accounts to field reports.
Before you submit a report
The 'popular report subjects' links below direct you to web pages with information on some of our most common requests. We encourage to go to these pages before submitting a report, as there is often important information you need to know about how the issue can be dealt with.
Council is not able to deal with certain items, and while we are happy to forward your request on to the responsible authority, it will often save you time going directly to them.
How to report an issue
Snap Send Solve
Snap Send Solve is a free app which residents can use to report incidents to council instantly. Snap Send Solve lets residents report incidents quickly and easily. This app has no account sign-up and is easy to navigate by choosing the exact location, detailing what the incident is and even allows you to upload a photo if you wish.
Online Report Form
Council's online report form is available to all Greater Dandenong residents.
The online form has prompts that you will be required to complete before submitting.
Telephone Council
Residents may prefer to contact Council via the Customer Service Call Centre, open Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 5pm.
Please telephone Council on 8571 1000 to speak to Council Customer Service who will be able to help to redirect you to the correct department.
Users who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment can contact Council through the National Relay Service. See below for more information.
To contact Council in your own language through the TIS (Translating and Interpreting Service). Call 13 14 50 and ask to be put through to 8571 1000.

Road Safety Reports
Potholes
While many roads in Greater Dandenong are maintained by Council, several major roads are maintained by VicRoads. If you find a pothole, please report this via one of our four reporting options above. Your report will be assessed, and you’ll be advised on next steps.
Other Road Issues
Sandown Raceway
Council advises that there is a longstanding planning permit approved for a calendar of motor racing events at Sandown Raceway, that has been in place for many years. That calendar of events includes a number of big races with higher levels of noise (95dB) and a number of smaller races, generally club races at a noise limit of 75dB. These smaller club race day events are predominantly held on Sundays, again in accordance with the provisions of the approved planning permit.
For example, the V8 Supercar races that take place in March each year, are an event run in compliance with and in accordance with the planning permit. Council staff monitor noise level compliance throughout the three days of each event, to ensure the event organisers comply with their Planning Permit as far as allowable noise limits and all other conditions attached to the permit.
There are five weekends per year where car racing is undertaken with a max of 95dBA being:
- February
- March
- July
- September
- November
While many residents might find the noise of motor racing intrusive, there is a long standing and valid planning permit in place for this activity. Council cannot withdraw or cancel that permit, but please be assured that Council officers have and will continue to monitor the conditions under which it must operate, ensuring that the race events themselves are run within the restricted noise limits.
