singal box art created by students, drawings of faces

Noble Park Signal Box Project

Ongoing from August 2022
Leonard Avenue, Douglas Street and Heatherton Road, Noble Park

The City of Greater Dandenong worked together with local school children to transform three signal boxes with artwork in Noble Park.

Digital arts company, Playable Streets invited children from Noble Park Primary School and St. Anthony’s Primary School to draw pictures responding to key themes about place and identity. The drawings created by students can be viewed on the Playable Streets website.

Playable Streets took some of these drawings and turned them into three unique digital artworks. The artworks were then printed onto three signal boxes in Noble Park Activity Centre.

The Noble Park Signal Box Project aims to bring life and creativity to public spaces and to create a new platform for children to contribute to city making within the City of Greater Dandenong.

The project was made possible with the support of the Noble Park Revitalisation Board and funding form the State Government.
