Come and celebrate the spring reopening of Alex Wilkie Nature Reserve and enjoy all things nature at this special event.
Hear from Traditional Owners about the importance of respect and connection to the land during a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, join our bushland crew to plant some seedlings and learn about local plants and wildlife, learn how to pot a plant with our horticulture team or explore the past and present in our Visitor's Centre.
Have fun with nature play and craft activities in the Sense Trail or take a tour of the reserve with one of our rangers.
There will be wildlife presentations, roving performers and the Springvale Live Steamers will also be running, so jump on board for a free train ride.
Bring your family and friends and join us for a free BBQ.
Please note, as this is a low-waste event, participants are required to bring their own water bottles/cups. There are water refill stations available at the event.
Parking is available via Harold Road at Alex Nelson Reserve or plan your public transport journey using the PTV website.
If you require additional assistance to participate, please get in contact with us.
