We Built this City celebrates the stories of some of Greater Dandenong’s favourite heritage sites as chosen by our community.
The present site for a new Public Library, Council Offices and Public Square was chosen as part of the Victorian Government’s Revitalising Central Dandenong initiative in 2011. Drawing inspiration from Dandenong’s River Red gums and local indigenous landscape, the bustling Dandenong Civic Centre and Harmony Square was born.
