St James' Church - We Built This City

We Built this City celebrates the stories of some of Greater Dandenong’s favourite heritage sites as chosen by our community.

As one of the oldest buildings in Dandenong, St James’ Anglican Church has served a diverse and active Anglican congregation for over 150 years. With humble slab hut beginnings, this landmark building opened for worship in 1865. Today, the Church continues to serve and meet the needs of the local Dandenong community.
