Council sought feedback from the community which helped shape the final design for the playground upgrade at Browns Reserve, 28-30 Browns Road, Noble Park North.
There was strong support to increase the activities within the reserve and to enhance the landscaping.
The concept plan is aligned with:
- the allocated budget for 2023-2024 financial year
- feedback received from the community (survey and comments)
- a Neighbourhood level park; see section Appendix B: Park Development Standards of the Greater Dandenong Open Space Strategy 2020-2030.
- a Local level playground
- the staging plan that will inform future capital improvement works bids to Council.
Stage 1 works 2023-24
- new local level playground
- shelter with a picnic table setting
- bench seats
- new trees.
Future Stages – Subject to Council funding
The following projects are subject to future capital improvement bids being supported through council’s annual budget process;
- BBQ
- drinking fountain
- practice court with basketball and futsal goals
- seating area
- garden beds.
