Council sought feedback from the community which helped shape the design for the renewal of the playground at Pitman Reserve at 20 Pitman Street, Dandenong North.
There was strong support to upgrade the playground and provide more equipment for children to play on. Enhancement to the landscaping was also a key theme of the community feedback.
The concept plan is aligned with:
- the allocated budget for 2023-2024 financial year
- a local level playground.
The key elements of the playground are:
- new play unit including a junior double slide, a senior spiral slide, rope play, tunnel, monkey bars and play panels
- swings
- rockers
- spinner
- cubby house.
Additional improvements include seats, a picnic table setting and new trees for shade.
